From the Bike Shop Floor to a Marin Collaboration
The Marin x Thumbs Bobcat Trail 3 is a genuine full-circle moment for me.
Before launching Thumbs Studios, I worked in a bike shop, surrounded by frames, components and people who shared a real passion for riding. I never imagined that years later, I would be collaborating with Marin to put my own artwork on a bike.
Since founding Thumbs Studios in 2016, storytelling has always been central to my work. Whether it is clothing, murals or brand collaborations, I want every project to feel distinctive, personal and connected to culture.
For this Artist Edition Bobcat Trail 3, I brought that approach to the frame with bold electric yellows, cobalt blues and hidden Easter eggs that tell both my story and Marin’s. It is bright, playful and packed with the nostalgic character found throughout my work.
Underneath the artwork is a genuinely capable trail bike, featuring an aluminium frame, 120mm suspension fork, nine-speed drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes. It is designed to look great, but more importantly, it is made to be ridden and enjoyed.
Going from working in a bike shop to creating a bike with Marin is something I am incredibly proud of. It brings together two major parts of my journey in one moving canvas.
Now it is time to get it muddy.
