    What is Giclee printing?

Giclee refers to style of printing used for these art prints. Instead of a standard printing process, Giclee printing results in a far more vibrant and long lasting finish as the ink is essentially "sprayed" onto the paper. This is a far superior method than standard printing.

What paper is used for the prints?

    I use

Hahnemühle German Etching Paper which is acid free and meets all the gallery requirements for age resistance. Giclee printing coupled with archival paper has the potentional to last up to 200 years without fading.

    Are the prints limited edition?

All my art prints are limited edition meaning that once they sell out they will not be reprinted in that colour way. Each print is hand signed and numbered.

    How long does shipping take?

Most of my prints are printed to order so please allow up to 5 working days for the item to ship.

    About the Thumbs Team

    ---

My name is Nick Thompson, also known as Thumbs, and I am a London born and Brighton based, graphic artist who has been creating pop culture inspired art since around 2015. I'm a full time artist, consistantly working on pieces for art shows or commissions for collectors. I also utilise my art for limited edition art prints, collectible art toys and a really unique and collectible clothing range.

    ---

I'm not a one man team however, we're a family business! While I'm busy painting and creating art, my wife; Elisa helps manage the brand and handles all the orders that you awesome people place. And when we get super busy we even manage to rope in our two daughters Lola and Maggie into helping us. Not to mention all our amazing friends who help us out at our pop shops and art conventions!

    About our Clothing

    ---

I spent over a decade working in a skate and snow shop as a buyer. I came across excellent quality clothing brands and also, not so excellent clothing brands. When I started creating art and spending days and weeks on a single piece, the worse thing I could think of was having it cheapily printed onto a poor quailty garment. Over the years, I spent a lot of time testing out different brands that produce blank clothing for printing and I finally found a manufacturer that was perfect for my style and also exteremely high quality.

    ---

    • All our clothing is screen printed here in the UK ensuring the colours don't fade and remain vibrant wash after wash.
    • We print onto high quality, soft feel, medium to heavyweight garments.
    • All our clothing is pre-shrunk, meaning it won't shrink and will keep its shape no matter how long you wear it for.
    • Our garments are ethically sourced and created in limited batches to reduce waste.
    • Every piece is designed in house by Thumbs, meaning you get a unique and cool piece of wearable art which you'll love.

    ---

Our screen printers mix their inks to colour match my original artwork. So the colours which I originally used when creating the original art piece are then replicated and used during the printing process to ensure my creative vision is upheld and you as a collector know that what you are buying, is exactly what you see on our website and socials.

    The Thumbs Community

    ---

Of course, I wouldn't be able to be a full time artist and do what I love for a living without the support of my collectors. Whether you are following me on my social channels and simply sharing my work or actively collecting my art, it all means the world to me, so - thankyou!

    ---

I love meeting collectors face to face and bringing my art to shows and conventions around the world. We often have pop up shops in the UK (typically London and Brighton) and also showcase at conventions in the US and UK where you can check out my art in the flesh. To keep up to date on my shows please feel free to subscribe to my newsletterin the yellow banner at the bottom of this page.
