"My grandad opened his first fish and chip shop on Portobello Road in 1963. Almost 20 years later, he opened another just down the road on Golborne Road, and that’s where my story really starts. I grew up in the flat above that shop. It later became a skate, bike and snowboard shop, which I went on to run with my uncle. The same place, a different chapter, but always family. This photo holds a lot of history for me. It’s where I grew up, where I worked and a huge part of who I am. Putting it on a T-shirt felt like a fitting tribute to my grandad, our family’s story and one of London’s best chippies." - Thumbs
